About RESET Pathways

Built from lived experience. Developed for structured delivery.

A recovery-support framework created to strengthen engagement, transition and long-term continuity.

RESET Pathways was developed in response to a recurring challenge: recovery support can become fragmented as people move between readiness, structured treatment, discharge and longer-term community participation.

RESET connects these stages through practical resources, consistent facilitation and a clear progression pathway designed to complement existing services.

Why RESET was created

Why RESET exists

Recovery continues beyond any single service or programme.

People’s needs evolve, but support does not always move with them. RESET was created to strengthen the connections between different stages of recovery while respecting the role of treatment, clinical services and established community provision.

01

Engagement can begin before readiness is secure

People may need an accessible structure through which they can better understand their situation, strengths and reasons for change.

02

Transitions can interrupt recovery momentum

Movement between treatment, independent living and community support can create gaps at precisely the point continued structure matters.

03

Long-term progression needs continuity

Recovery does not end when a programme finishes. Connection, reflection and purposeful progression remain important over time.

Founder & Director

Robbie Launders

Founder of RESET Pathways

Robbie Launders is the Founder and Director of RESET Pathways and the author of Between Worlds: Choosing Reality. His work draws on lived experience of addiction and recovery, sustained involvement in recovery communities in California and the UK, and a professional background in business development and leadership.

Robbie’s perspective on recovery has been shaped through participating in and volunteering within recovery communities in both California and the UK. These experiences reinforced the importance of connection, practical structure and consistent support beyond formal treatment.

“RESET was created to help make recovery support feel more connected, practical and continuous. It is designed to strengthen what already works, not replace it.”

Robbie leads the strategic direction, programme development, partnerships and continued evolution of RESET. His role is to ensure that lived experience is translated into responsible, structured and implementation-ready resources for partner organisations.

Experience informing the work

Different perspectives brought into one framework.

RESET has been shaped through the interaction of personal recovery experience, community participation, professional capability and structured programme development.

01

Lived understanding

First-hand awareness of how addiction can affect identity, relationships, direction and engagement, and how recovery requires more than information alone.

02

Recovery community experience

Direct participation in recovery communities has informed RESET’s emphasis on connection, accountability, practical action and continued participation.

03

Professional development

Business development, leadership and partnership experience supports the creation of resources that are structured, scalable and suitable for organisational implementation.

Built beyond one individual

A structured model designed for partner delivery.

Although RESET began through the founder’s experience and vision, it has been developed as an organisational framework rather than a founder-dependent service. Its materials, guidance and delivery model are designed to support trained facilitators working within established services.

RESET is being developed through:

  • Standardised facilitator and participant resources
  • Safeguarding and operational guidance
  • Quality-assurance and implementation processes
  • Partner feedback and pilot learning
  • Outcome monitoring and continued refinement
  • A delivery model that complements existing teams

The principles behind RESET

Purpose translated into responsible delivery.

RESET’s development is guided by a small number of principles intended to protect participants, support facilitators and respect existing services.

01

Complement, not replace

RESET is designed to strengthen existing treatment, rehabilitation and community services rather than compete with clinical or therapeutic provision.

02

Practical and accessible

Recovery concepts should translate into realistic actions people can understand, apply and revisit in everyday life.

03

Structured and consistent

Clear resources and delivery guidance support consistency while retaining appropriate flexibility for different services and groups.

04

Focused on continuity

Recovery support should acknowledge the transitions between engagement, structured work, reintegration and sustained participation.

Lived experience informed the beginning of RESET. Structure, partnership and responsible implementation are shaping its future.

Building recovery support through partnership

A clear purpose. A connected framework. A commitment to progression.

RESET Pathways is working with partner organisations to test, learn and refine a structured approach that supports people across different stages of recovery.
